just curious

Does anyone on this forum smoke?  I do not.  I just wonder.....will anone admit it?

I used to, smoked for 35+ years but, developed COPD a lung disease and had to quit. That was several years before my band placement. I have read a few that have admitted to it but not many.

I smoked from about age 16 til the day I found out I was pregnant when I was 20. Didn't smoke for many years... and then stupidly started again. I quit about 6 years ago with Chantix. It did something to my brain because I feel like a nonsmoker!  I recently had a chest Xray and the doctor told me that my lungs looked as healthy as could be. I think I lucked out.

Nic, after all your problems from the band, you were due for a break.

Glad to hear that there doesn't seem to be damage from the time you smoked.

Thanks, Kath.  I'm glad, too! I certainly notice the difference in ability to breathe now that I don't smoke. I can yell louder, too. 

I have never been a smoker.

Well, one drag in 7th grade on a dare. It never appealed to me.

I smoke if I have a few too many glasses of wine.

I did from the age of 13-39 Quit almost 6 years ago before I got the band

I smoked from age 17 to 45. I just decided on my own I was sick of it and quit cold turkey. That was 8 years ago. Now I am one of those horrible ex-smokers who can not stand smoke. I am soo glad I quit.
