Sandy was a nurse who lost her license in two states, she would try to pass herself off as still being a nurse. She gave horrible advice, lied when the truth made more sense, had a holier than thou attitude, used fake screen names to support her own opinions, got fired from her docs office (basically she recruited on the boards for him, that's what it boiled down to,) she was kicked off her doc's message board for using all these fake IDs since her advice was so bad nobody would agree with her, she would change studies to fit her own wrong ideas on banding, the list goes on.
Curry was a bariatric surgeon who apparently his practice wasn't going well so he came here and started answering questions as though he was doing us some sort of favor. Since he was a doc here some people decided that made him superior to other doctors. In reality he was just getting free advertising. When his business was up and running, he up'ed and ran from OH.

As far as our band cheerleaders. Bette is still doing awesome with her band. Kate I believe does not post b/c she was upset with OH reposting members info on FB. I believe she is still doing well with her band. I think she posted that she still comes on OH and checks her mail. Jean appears to have moved on to a different band forum where she tried to sell the book where ppl didn't know she was getting rid of her band cause the band or her failed. Nana still makes her occasional "supportive" posts. Melly has had a very difficult time with her band and has revised to VSG. I think Lisa O. and Dev are having some issues. Brock is back again temporarily. I doubt he is doing any better with his band though. Steph was gone for about 6 months and did a post the other day, but didn't mention her band at all. I suspect it's not going very well. Gurenica was on a month or so ago. Don't think she's having a lot of luck with the band right now, but in fairness, that could be b/c of all the prednisone. That lady has just been through soooo much! :-( Our band Granny is doing great! There are several other cheerleaders on here that are now having issues with their bands as expected............ALTHOUGH THEY STILL LOVE THEIR BANDS! Lol. A lot of others have just "disapeared". That seems to happen a lot when band complications start. :-(
And just to add.........as everyone know, I don't like band cheerleading, but some of these band cheerleaders I have mentioned are wonderful people and aI think the world of them. Just b/c we have differences of oipinions does not define who we are, and although I don't agree with them on band issues, there are several that I mentioned that I respect very much.

She was something else. Whatever happened to her? I heard she had major band problems and had to have it removed. She was apparently upset with Kuri for not doing it pro bono and then she went off on Kuri on the boards. Started telling everyone not to go there, blah blah blah...

It was kinda funny when we would catch little orphan annie red handed doing something like using fake IDs and screen names to push a point. Then she would try to delete it and we had all already quoted her 100x. HAHAHA She would disappear for a few weeks and come back selling those stupid CDs pretending nothing happened.
I remember when she was explaining the sleeve. That woman didn't have the slightest idea what she was talking about. I don't believe she even knew what a sleeve was!
My "surgeon" aka The Butcher asked me to consent to a "human interest" story on our local TV news station about my impending lapband surgery way back when. I didn't want to do it, but they asked and asked numerous times until i consented.
The news team followed me through the preliminary stuff... and The Butcher put on his best face, all care and concern... and then, AFTER I came out of surgery mangled and damaged, the son of a ***** surgeon wanted nothing to do with me. Oh, he put on a show for the public with his Jesus fish in his office and his "good doctor" act... but in private, he was the worst human being ever. A lot of his dumber patients believe that he's a good doctor because he advertises on TV. "Ooooh, he's on "the TV?! He MUST be good!" Derp.
So, he got his free advertising, too, and then promptly discarded me like I was collateral damage.
The measure of a GOOD doctor is one who actually demonstrates authentic concern for those whom he claims he wants to help.

So true! I don't see how in good conscious that so many Dr's. that have mislead us (or outright LIED) about the band can just say "to hell with you" and blow us off. I do realize that some of them did believe when they installed the band that it would work as advertised. However after seeing complications after complications, it would be crystal clear to a moron that the band is nothing but a problem waiting to happen! And yet most have no guilt what-so-ever if what they have done to us! :-(
And the Jesus fish! It infuriates me someone that pretends to be a Christian to add credibility to their self or their performance as a professional by doing this. Especially those that slam the door in your face when the complications start! I hate a hypocrite!
Paula there are things in life that are negative/realistic. For instance: the price of gas. I know what it is. I don't like it. But me turing off the TV when they say how high it is won't do me any good. If I throw the newspaper away when I read a post about the industry saying fuel prices will soon be over $4/gallon, more than likely $5 in the near future..............it won't do me any good to throw the paper away. That would be stupid! That's not going to change the facts. It is what it is! You just deal with it. However some of the band cheerleaders seem to think the head in the sand approach will be more beneficial to them. Go figure! lol
