Jean sorry to hear you need a revision

I am so sorry about your Band. This truly is one my biggest fears. To hear the news today has truly upset me. I did kind of think that some would have the "I told you so" attitude. I really hope that if this ever happens to me I am met with more kindness then what I have seen here. I do consider myself a Band success and have said so...but in saying so will that open me up to criticism in the event of this ever happening to me???
Anyway, good luck in your quest for the sleeve and I hope you won't ignore us over here on the Band board once you get your sleeve!!!!

Crystal,
One of the reasons I didn't rush to post about my situation on the band forum was that I didn't want to frighten or panic my fellow bandsters when I don't yet have a complete picture of what caused my problem or how to fix it. and posting a sniveling, "Oh, poor me" type of thread just isn't my style.
Another reason was I didn't feel up to dealing with the "I told you so" attitude.
Anyway, thanks for your support.

I said no to The Sleeved Bandwagon, but last night I had a bright idea for the title of another book. I'd call it Something Up My Sleeve.... : )

I have always found Jean to honest about her band. Be it having to face a port replacement or the fact it can slip and there are issues. Of course there are issues with any surgery..especially bariatric surgery. Not sure what you're driving at Maria, but I've been posting on the forum for almost 3 years now and I think needling someone (anyone) experiencing complications is wrong. I don't care who it is.
And I believe Jean said, "supposed failure to lose weight"...the key word? supposed

I think that the two of you do not need to be bashing each other!!!
You two like the rest of us just want to or need to still need to lose weight!! The dream of us all!!
You both chose the band for this journey and neither of you went in it just to have the band fail you!!! Either way one at a time you have both had huge disappointments!!!! Damn it be kind to each other!!! Tit for tat doesn't make anyone feel better!
I work 12 hours a day, take care of my beautiful 88year old mother and have a partner with stage 3 cancer!!!
I look forward to reading all the boards and yes wish I had the sleeve but most of all I am glad I am not the only person on this board just wanting to lose weight!!! Agree to disagree, negativity just doesn't help either of you or the rest of us wanting so bad to lose weight!
xo

Maria I always enjoy your posts! I just think that all we wanted was the chance to be thin and choosing the band made some of us not have that dream, so of course we all have opinions and thought with anger!!
I feel you both vented so now lets all figure out a way to lose weight together!!

Thanks! I appriciate that.
As far as trying to lose weight, I'm still doing high protein, lower carb and fat. Still trying to do lower sugar, but that has really been my weakness lately! Ice cream in particular. Haven't bought any lately. Trying to avoid that section of the grocery store! lol
Hugs!
