hair loss, please help
If you are really concerned, you may want to consult a dermatologist.
I've lost a significant amount of hair over the past 4 years.. even before being banded. My nurses tried to tell me it was Telogen Effluvium, but I didn't think so as the hair loss started before weight loss.
Unfortunately, my hair loss is due to hormonal imbalance secondary to total hysterectomy and oopherectomy for cancer.
Fortunately, I had LOTS of hair to begin with, so now the amount of hair I have is similar to what others have normally.
I still miss and grieve my thick hair though.. so I do understand. I take biotin, My protein levels are very high.
Dermatologist says this is a permanent condition. Nothing to do to make it regrow.. best I can do is to prevent further loss. Sigh.
