Newbie, soon to be banded

Bexie please take a look at the revision forum BEFORE your band surgery. You will see most of the revision on there are usually ppl revising FROM the band! That ought to tell you something!

Well, since my surgery is Monday, I have been fighting my insurance to get this done for over a year, my husband has been successfully banded for 3 years and has lost 200lbs, and I have researched the potential complications and risks, I don't see the need to fill my head with horror stories right before my surgery.  I do thank you for your concern, but I am pretty set on this course of action.

Well what you refer to  as "horror stories" are our REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES. Those of us that post these things do so out of concern.

It's never too late to change your mind until you get the anesthesia. Don't be afraid to back out and re-evaluate if you have any doubts.

If however, your mind is made up, then best of LUCK to you! I do hope that you and your husband beat the odds!!!
