I made stuffed cabbage this weekend. Haven't made t in ages.
Left out the rice
I stuffed it wth ground beef and a little bread crumbs and seasoning.
Made the sauce and then put raisens in the sauce too. Why  dont know just for sweetness.
Holy Sh**. Stuck  like you wouldn't believe.
Took small bites the question is was it the raisens or the cabbage. ( fyi cant eat cole slaw either)
The raisens plumped up too.
I tried it again the next day . Why you ask because i am a fool.
Anyone else have a problem with raisens or cabbage?

It could have been either or both ingredients.  While I'm able to eat pretty much anything (a blessing and a curse for me), many people have trouble with cabbage.  And I don't know about the raisins, but the skin of them may have been a culprit.

I would stay away from both for awhile.

Cabbage was a problem for me for quite some time after surgery. Interesting thing is that well cooked cabbage or sauerkraut in cabbage rolls work for me. Cole slaw was a definite no. Well, now I can do it. I a just very conscious how much I chew it but I still am very cautious when eating it. -- Tom
