If I'm not blocked already I would simply like to say I'm sorry if I offended you. I was speaking of the Band Bashers.  Not about those who struggle day in and day out with weight loss with the band. Count me in that number. I'm nowhere near my goal to and if you look at my post yesterday you'd see the struggle I've gone through. But it was my struggle and not the bands' fault. If anything the band helped keep me from yo yoing back up to my original weight. I know there is about a 10% chance of band failure via erosion, slippage, or port issues.  But damn 90% is pretty good odds in my book. So, I'm truely sorry for offending you.

ALL  wls have their issues!  Just block the people that bug you.   For me I read everything for knowledge.  I never mind people sharing their problems and disappointments, but the people that are rude, smug etc I just block.

I struggle day in and day out with weight loss with the band. EVERY FREAKING DAY! My band doesn't work! NEVER did! It FAILED!!!

WOW!!! what a supportive & friendly post! This is exactly why many of us left YOUR board for awhile. BTW,this is coming from a member who has NEVER complained about her band and has only offered kind words of support to others who may be frazzled and feel let down by their decision to be banded. I hope that you never, ever have a band problem in the future.

If the band is so great and successful why are surgeons like my own now doing everything in their power to NOT implant anymore bands? According to them there is at least 25% of the people never get any kind of restriction. So I wish people would stop blaming us patients for being failures. It's hard enough to face that we will never lose any weight with this useless surgery then we have to listen to others blame us for something we didn't do. We did not fail the band, the band failed us and I will continue to scream it till my last breath!!!!

You scream with class and respect to others though I dont mind  your screaming :o)  You give information in a very polite and understanding way and that is how it should be done . People will listen to you and do more research because of how you put things .

You dont talk down to people and that is why people will continue to read your posts .

No. It is a "tool" for SOME. Many of us that waste our money on the CRAP-BAND never got a tool!

Oh I know he probably wasn't refering specifically to me. It just infuriated me that he would speak to any that have band issues like that!

And I do realize my post was very mean and nasty to him. I know 2 wrongs don't make right, but I just had to say it.

There are so many out there that had their dreams CRUSHED by the band, and for them to have to read what he has written to them really hurts!

I will be the first to admit that some bandsters did cause their own problems. I seen it happen several times, but the large majority of those with band issues do NOT have band issues b/c of non-compliance! They have band issues b/c of band FAILURE.

We honestly with ALL those with bands had possitive experiences. We are not jelous and being mean b/c ours did not work. We are very happy for the ones that have bands that are working for them at this time, but we post to try to give info to pre-ops, and to help out those that are currently experiencing band issues on HIS board. You know...........the board he never comes on to "support" others on! :-(
