you would just love naomi - maybe she's around, but you two would get along famously.

Excuse me, but this was MY board for almost three years. I still come to check on the people that I like to read about (like Bette and Jean), and when I see someone posting about complications I chime in b/c I ignored mine and I almost lost my stomach because of it. I also speak up when people are spreading misinformation, like if you do everything you are supposed to your band won't fail you. It can, and in many cases it will. I don't want anyone else to go though what I did.

I did amazing with my band, dropping almost 100% of my excess weight in one year and maintaining that loss for almost three years (except for what I gained during pregnancy, but promptly lost after having baby). I used my tool just the way I was supposed to, never too tight, never throwing up, never abusing it in any way and it almost killed me, and I am not exaggerating when I say that, I NEARLY LOST MY STOMACH and now have permanent damage to my esophagus and diaphragm b/c of the lap band. I was lucky that all of my neurological issues resolved after having the band removed, but only after having to submit to numerous tests to see if I had MS, Lupus etc.

I fell hook line and sinker for the "less invasive, safer" line, only to have to have many surgeries, many invasive tests and at one point almost lost my life to it and if I can keep one person from falling for that line, I will keep talking.

You have got to be kidding me!!!!

I've lost some weight, not what I'd like to and nowhere near goal.

The band fails many for many different reasons, but guess what-I've got a band, have lived with it for 4 years now and will post whenever I damn well please!

And don't worry, after you have sufficient time to read this post I will be blocking you.
