Hunger

 Hi all,
I had my lapband surgery on Tuseday, December 28, 2010.
I had my gallbladder removed in April 2011.
now, I am having IBS and constipation. I am also having feeling of hunger. I feel I want to eat all the time.
By the way, my band becomes tight alone. I suddenly feel that nothing can pass through it. I visit my dr to unfill it...but the feeling of hunger is uncontrolable.
Plz can u suggest anything...?

For the constipation, add Miralax to your water or Crystal Light each day, this will keep things flowing. Be sure that you are filling up on solid protein so you can stay full for longer periods of time. The band is so fickle as far as going tight for no reason it seems at times.

my band does the same thing sometimes i can eat my normal cup and others times  it is just a few bites

Unfortunately this is all too common and tends to only get worse. My band kept tightening to the point where I just got it emptied, it was just too much to deal with! I've always felt hunger with my band no matter how tight it was, many many of us are this way! Alot of folks decide to revise to another surgery because of these problems. See your doc and ask him about it but usually they just say that's the way it is! Under no cir****tance get or stay too tight tho because that causes very serious problems. Good luck!
