In search of a new Doctor

The most imtportant thing to remember during your journey is PATIENCE! Everything with the band takes time. Learning to eat properly, learning to wait for restriction(it took several fills before I felt it), learning to come here to ask questions and learning to take the advise. We are all impatient at first and want to see results right away but in all reality it is the slowest form of weight loss and you just can't change that. I can tell you from experience you DO NOT want to be too tight, there is nothing more painful or frustrating because then you can't eat. Just take a big deep breath and relax, all will come in good time.

First of all, it is VERY difficult to find a doctor to see you when he didn't operate on you.  I moved 750 miles away from my surgeon and it took me 2 years to find someone who would see me.

Second, and this is important, heed the advice of what everyone here said.  Patience is difficult but really important.

Third, when I was still getting fills, it would take 4-6 weeks for the fill to "settle in".  Everyone is different.  But it's better to be less filled than over -filled.
