Where are you feeling the movement?
Yes it takes time for the gas to leave.
You stated you can't feel your port....   Do you mean the port or the effects of the band?  Most people who just have had surgery can't feel their actual port with the fat on their abdomen.
As you lose weight, you may be able to palpate your port. I can easily feel mine and the tubing.

dont worry, that is perfectly normal- the first two, three weeks after surgery I had questions over questions, and was freaking out over everything :) Your surgery was only 3 days ago, be gentle to yourself and let your body heal. Gas? Normal. Feeling your port? I don't feel my port, but I don't ,ind really :)

I had surgery on the 29th. There is quite a bit of movement, but mine feels like gas. Now that my swelling is starting to subside, I can begin to feel the outline of my port, plus the bruising gives me a map.

Are you drinking an ounce of water or protein every hour?
Are you walking 60 minutes a day?
Are you breathing deep to clear and exercise your lungs?

Try to focus on the things you can control that assist in your healing and let your surgeon know if you have any of the warning signs. Most of all take a deep breath! We made the decision, followed our hearts, and have jumped the first hurtle! Congratulations to all of us.

Some people have less fat on the outside of their abdomnen than on the inside and therefore can feel the port more than those with more fat on the outside. In my case, there is little to no fat on the outside of the abdomen and all the fat is in on the  inside wall. So my port is very prominent and I felt it right away.
Give yourself a few days and see if you feel better. If not, you should call your surgeon and ask for an appointment to be looked at.
Good luck.
