Been a while...
Its been 2 weeks (and 2 days) since I had my band surgery. I still have not lost much but my guess is that its due to the fact that I am healing and in need of a fill. My fill appointment is on July 5th. As of now...I can eat solids and I am hungry often. I have no idea how I have not GAINED anything. Luckily I have simply maintained at 235 (Started at 251). I am finally able to drink lots of water and I have only been sick 3 times...nothing harsh though. I learned that I have to give up my favorite..triscuits. They "overflow" me every time. *frowns*. I have been walking often and my energy is up for sure. My joints already feel sooooo much better than they did a month ago. I have also lost the scabs from the inscisions and they look GREAT. You can hardly see them at all. I no longer have the left shoulder pain that I thought was going to kill me the first week. The only think I am unable to do now is sleep on my tummy. I can feel my port very easily and it bothers me if I am on my stomach for long. So all is well here and I hope that things are going good for the rest of you "banders" :)

Congrats..and welcome to the losers bench.. I know I didn't lose much before my first fill.. But, just sit back and enjoy the ride..It is wonderful.. you will also notice that you will lose inches faster then weight.. I know I did.. I was at a point that I was stalled at the weight loss but, I found that the inches were comming off.. Your body may shrink before you see the weight come off.. Wishing you the best with your band.. I just had my second fill in 2 yrs... .6cc's first fill and now I just got .66cc and I can tell it is working.. I have a total of 4.6cc'c in a 10cc band.. Maybe you should read Jeans book "Bandwagon", it is awesome for anyone getting the band...I love mine and read it often .Hugs "Lucky"

Lucky, thank you for recomending the book! I am going to be on top of it asap! Congrats on your fill and its success! Its crazy how so little can make such a big difference. Yes, my inches are coming down and my clothes are fitting so much better. I am finally in 18s and my 20s are just all my comfy loose jeans now. :) Gotta love it.

You were banded just before me, I am 1 week and 3 days. Good luck! My first fill is July 6th but if I am still losing I will skip it. I am losing almost a pound a day right now. I eat 4 tablespoons of pureed food and then I am full for hours. It makes it difficult to get all my fluids in but I am getting them in by staying up a little longer if I have to.
A pound a day! Thats awesome! I just hope you are hydrated!! That was my biggest issue right after surgery. I am just now able to drink all the water I need. I wish I could eat that little and stay full!! *as my stomach growls* haha I wish you the best of luck! I will need the fill for sure. I can tell that already. I can't even tell the band is there really. My port on the other hand...makes sure I know its there. That muscle wall stays kind of cramped up as if I were dehydrated...but I know thats not the issue and its just my body getting used to the port too. Anyway, I am super excited for you!!!
