Itching?

I had my surgery yesterday and all day today my stomach and chest have been very itchy! Is it just my skin settling or something else? I dont have a rash or anything. Just currious.

Mine has been itching now the last few days which is usually tied to the healing of the wounds.  Are you taking a narcotic pain killer?  I have a friend who gets an itchy alergic reaction when she takes it.  good luck with the itchy and a very successful journey down:-)

I'm allergic to tape, and I was itchy and got a rash from the tape they used on me.  If you put cortizone cream on, don't get it near your incisions.  The nurse said that could cause an infection.  The cortizone cream helped me, and at my one week appointment she took those bandages off right away.   I hope this helps some.

I was totes itchy from the anesthesia for a few days...then I was itchy from the vicodin I was taking.  I started taking Benadryl with it and it worked wonders!

Thanks for all the help!! :) No rash, just an itchy feeling all over. Its not so bad this morning! Still sore and a bit swollen but otherwise doing great!

I highly recommend Benadryl, adn it may help you sleep as well....
