pain medications

 Could anyone please tell me if the Doctor will prescribe any post-op pain meds? 
 Friday is my day!

Hello,
When I met with the anesthesiologist It sounded like we would have a pain pump. Where we could push the button to release meds as we needed with a predetermined  amount set.

How is your pre-op going? Yesterday and today have been hard for me. I want nachos (lol). I am sticking with it though. Our day will be here soon. I am nervous and excited. I went to the support group the other day. It was neat. I don't know how to friend you on here but if you figure it out you can friend me.

 Thanks for the quick reply.  I am kind of hoping that we can take something if we have any post-op pain during our healing time.  The reason I wanted to know is because someone told me no.

Anyway, I hear ya... and yes I am doing good on my pre-op diet, but man I have been a little bit cranky and I think it  is because I am craving all kinds of foods, and yeah, nachos sound great right now!  but like you said I am "nervous and excited" too.  It will be all worth it though for both of us. 

I will try and figure out the friend thing too.  I 'm sure we should stay in touch.

I don't know if you're on a pre op liquid diet or atkins type low carb, but if its the latter, I will tell you that if you use sausage slices, crisp them in the oven, and then put the cheese on them, it's not a bad substitute for nachos, lol

My doctor prescribed me liquid Loritab. I only took it twice because the downfalls of pain meds outweigh what good they do!

My doctor also gave me an RX for liquid pain meds.  Good luck this week.

I was also given a script for liquid pain meds.  I only needed it a few times and my pain tolerance is very low.  Best of luck to you.
