OT: Hair opinions

OK, I think it's best to ask total strangers about hairstyle options, since their opinion isn't colored so much by knowing your personality and they can provide an opinion based on how you look.
That said, I can't decide whether to get a trim/shorter bob, or grow my hair out longer. I know it's a bit messy on one side here. Keep in mind my hair is very fine and very straight, no matter how long it gets, it won't have any more volume than it does now. Pardon my terrible bathroom lighting!

Also, apparently I'm terrible at the bathroom self portrait, since I was trying for different angles and these all look pretty much the same.

Layers!  The cut is cute, but you will get more volume with layers. I have the exact same problem. Lots of hair, but it is fine and stick straight.

Hi There,
Look look so cute. I have sort of the same cut but I just got it cut with more layers, shorter and bangs to the side but they are shorter. It has more movement and feels more fun. I think you would look good in that cut for summer! Good luck.

I kind of wanted to try bangs, but my stylist advises against it. I have a pretty stubborn cowlick at the front, and if those hairs get cut short they just want to stand straight up!

Layers and I don't work well together since I tend to really resist putting much effort into styling. I need something that still looks mostly OK after I've slept on it!

I think longer in front and shorter with layers in the back. I'd have the long part in front right at chin level. The back you could flip your hair upside down and blow dry it so it would give it some volume. I think that style would really look awesome on you!

That's kind of how I had it, it just grew out. I think shorter looks a little better as well, but my husband is lobbying for growing it longer.

Ok, here's my two cents: I think shorter would look good. On the left side of your face, notice how your hair comes in and curves in towards your neck? I think that line would look terrific if you cut it a little shorter and had that curve come in right under your jaw. You have a good face shape for a short cut.

Well, that's what the other side is supposed to look like as well, but I have a toddler so when I got up that morning I looked at it and thought, "Eh, close enough" and didn't do anything to style it!
