approaching 3 years post-op...
This last year, I really went through a rough patch and basically fell off the wagon. I wasn't drinking my water, I wasn't eating all that I should have and eating a whole lot of what I shouldn't be eating. I was exercising sporadically at best.
Well, my hubby just graduated college FINALLY!!! We moved back to Portland and I'm back in the office. Everyday I make a conscious choice to take the stairs. I take them down, I take them up, I take them in the parking garage. Even the walk to get my coffee and snacks is 30x further than I was walking while working at home. The laundry is downstairs in the new apartment. The store is just down the street so I'm walking there too. No need to drive, it's quicker to walk.
All this extra movement is making a serious difference. Yes, I've started to watch what I'm eating a little more carefully, but the movement is the key for me. I'm down 4 lbs in the last week and 1/2. YEAH ME!!!
Anyway- I'm almost 3 years post op and still slowly losing. Don't give up hope. If you have the motivation and the conviction, you too can make these lifestyle changes necessary to lose the weight with the band.
See you at OH- Conference Bellevue in July!
** edited to correct that I'm almost 3 years post op.

There's not too many Oregon people on here, so nice that you're one of us now.....lol
I'm glad you survived the move back to Portland and are also moving more every day. You are a very persistent lady! I know you can continue to succeed, and I thank you for setting a good example for other bandsters.
