Why I keep coming back to OH

she use to work for a local TX surgeon dr speigel & after she had little to no street cred w/the DS family - she left said practice & is now doing "research"
who had issues w/your book - go do that research yourself, enough had something to say. i at least asked your intent & advertising here and was satisfied w/your answer. maybe your blocked or have blocked others who have issues w/your book.
opening a bariatric program ??? who knows her intent. her identity has changed twice & her intent not something i'd contribute to.
but then again - i get to decide my experience here, and i answered the post properly on why i'm still here.
I wasn't questioning the validity of your answer - I was just asking for more information about the parts of your post that I didn't understand.
I'm not able to research who has what issues with my book since they all have me blocked**. I do hope the issues aren't related to the accuracy of the book's material, since I had a bariatric surgeon and a bariatric nutritionist check the book for errors before I published it.

ETA: ** I only know that others are bashing me and Bandwagon because I get indignant messages about those posts from various OH friends

last i checked - i was the only one on this forum to question the nutritionist if she was indeed out looking for clients here on the lapband forum.
i think the general tone of those not a fan of you & your book - from reading only & my opinion ... is that you might have used "their" path / ideas as your own.
since i don't own the book, know the details of it - i can't comment if their are bashing the content.
my guess would be no - but then, who knows who has me blocked too ??
I thank you sincerely for saying that, and for not bashing a book you haven't read.
As for "using" someone else's ideas - the first paragraph of the book's preface states that much has already been written about bariatric surgery, and that my book is simply a different presentation of ideas that are already circulating in the bariatric world.

Jean no need to respond or whatever to this person. You are loved, your book and research is through, and that is enough! Do not bother with this person as it is a waste of your time. Obviously she doesn't care for you or your book so needs to attack instead of just stating this. oh yeah! I did do my homework when I chose surgery in my old age, also did research so I find your book a great informative tool.
Don't respond to attackers or it keeps on and on!

I believe to each their own.. some people do better with RNY surgery others with the Slevee and I with the BAND.
I can only provide advise, suggestions, my story to others who have the band like me or are going to have the band like me. I don't live, breath diet nor am I the perfect WLS paitent. I still attend ****tail hours and enjoy the queso dip from my favorite mexican joint. The difference now is I care MORE about how many times a week or month I consume them .. where before I was headed toward a down whirl spiral .. I was completely out of control. Even now sometimes I experience complete binge moments.. but I know I'm not alone in the wanting the food to fill me up inside and it doesn't.. nothing every really satisfies what I'm craving.. being bonded with others in that same experience is the support I need.. my friends and family in life don't completely understand that because they aren't or weren't heavy like I was.. they are supportive but here the people understand me and that's why I keep coming back :)
It's on my list of must-dos in order to relose my weight. It helps keep me accountable and focused. I may not be posting much right now, but I do read posts every day.
And Jean, it's great to see someone on the board from when I got the band.
