I have to drink room temp water and wait at least a half hour then I can eat. Really tight and every thing feels dry in AM.

It is very common to be tight in the morning. I used to drink a protien shake for breakfast, if I ate solid food I threw up. Since reaching goal, I had a large unfill. One of the reasons was I wanted to be able to eat breakfast.

It's not unusual to be tight when you first wake up (whether it be morning or evening).

I find it helps to drink a cup of coffee while I wake up and by the time I'm ready to leave the house in an hour or so, I can eat something.

Having a protein drink is a good alternative if you can't eat something solid.  As long as most days you can eat solid, dense protein by lunchtime, you are good.  :)

Renee,

Have you considered taking a teeny tiny bit out that just little bit might be enough for you to eat breakfast ?

Me personally that is what I would do , I would have to physically.  I do my Zumba and Curves in the mornings and if I wouldn't eat breakfast I would get  sick or pass out at my exercise classes due to the lack of something in my stomach especially since not eating since dinner the night before that is a long time to go without something.

I have my tight mornings....not all mornings.  Sometimes I have tight days.  Then I'm fine.  I think you need to just find something you can eat in the morning.  When I am tight I have five wheat crackers and peanut butter.  That slides right down for me.  This kind of thing happens if it becomes a big issue then I would get a slight unfill.  But if this is something that just happens in the morning and the reast of the day you are fine, then I would say you should be fine if you can find a breakfast to eat with no problems.

This is common.

I get up at 6:00am, start by day by drinking 24oz of water on the way to work.  I get to work by 7:00 am, then drink 2 cups of coffee, and by 9:30 I'm ready to eat breakfast.

For me I think it is dehydration because I try not to drink after 7 pm so I am not up all night in the bathroom......

I wake up hungry but go to the gym first then some hot tea or water if I have a hard time getting in a protein shake (I always have a protein shake in the morning after the gym). If they are too thick I have a problem........... on the weekends a cup of decaf or tea and by the time I fix a good breakfast for the family I can eat anything with no problem............

My tightness varies from time to time and day to day.......... went for Mexican the other day, ordered chicken and steak fajitas.........couldn't get it down for nothing....... about an hour or two later it went down no problem in fact I was amazed at what I was able to put away..............

For me I think how hydrated I am is key........also I found that eating with the kids makes it tougher to eat.....stress makes me tight also.

Throwing up isn't good though so you'd might want to have a little removed or try some of the suggestions, I wouldn't skip breakfast to me it is the most important time to eat..........only you know your body we are all banded but very different.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Michele - YOU ARE SO RIGHT about eating with kids.   My god my 5 year old drives me insane sometimes at the dinner table.  Okay - all the time so for about the past year I've started feeding her first, then my husband and I.   She has to leave the kitchen while I'm eating, I have to be totally relaxed, or I'll be stuck instantly!  And it doesnt matter what I'm eating...  if she stresses me out, or even my husband for that matter... same problem.

It's so funny how things change our bands like that...   however - glad to know I'm not the only one. LOL

I wish I could tell you that it gets better as they get older but mine are 16 and 17....... my husband is the biggest kid of all. Sometimes I start eating either before or after they are done.........come to think of it they weren't around when I came home and was able to eat my food from the Mexican place.

I know it is not because I am too tight because I was able to put away those steak and chicken fajitas..............so stress it is!!! Which in a way is kind of good because I used to eat tons when stressed......

So no my dear you are not alone, and I am sure there are many others out there who have a hard time at the dinner table!!!!!
