I gained 20 pounds when I lost my dad last year.. I have gotten about 1/2 off I will admit it hasn't been easy so I'm glad you realizing you need to put an end to the gain 7 pounds is very manageable.

My body is very comfortable at the weight I am right now.. so it takes ALOT more work to lose then it did when i first had surgery .. I began to make changes in stages - first I cut out all junk... I ate regular meals of whatever I wanted to eat but I cut out all the snacking and treats I was indulging in.. then I started to exercise again.. then I started to evulate my food choices.. started to be a little stricker and measuring things out again and with that exercise I have managed to get the weight back off.. for me gym is key because if I do want a snack I can because I worked out.. it gives me a few hundred calories to play around with and well I need it because I love WINE lol ..

Start tracking again.. I use myfitness pal and I love it esp because it easy to use on my smart phone.

I went back on my protein shakes/liquids for a week. I had gained 8# back myself, had started eating all the sweets and chips again and knew I had to change that and quick. It seems to have taken the cravings and taste for it out of my system again. I was 183 a week ago Saturday and this morning I'm 171!
Good luck!
