Lapband in Tijuana
well that is a different story then :o) if your doc will do your fills then and take care of you that is the most important part right there.
You are lucky there is alot of docs that dont like touching patients that have other docs do the lap bands especially out of the country .
Just double check to make sure you have complete care after wards and if you do then go for it :o) But just make sure its a clean and safe place first and he / she is a good doctor you dont want to go over and have it be nasty or unsafe or worse yet the doc is a butcher :o(

I had my surgery in Tijuana, MX and my entire experience was top-notch (my care was better than any surgery I have had in the USA and my surgeon and his staff were utterly amazing). Also, I had NO problem finding a local bariatric surgeon to take me on as a patient and he did not charge me a program fee. The only thing he required was a copy of my surgery report and pre-op lab results.
I did, however, make sure I had my local surgeon lined up for aftercare BEFORE I had my surgery. You do not want to be in a position where you have a problem/complication post-op and are freaking out trying to find someone to treat you locally. I took my time and made sure all of these things were handled prior to my surgery date. Proper preparation is clutch in having a seamless transition from pre-op to post-op.
This is *my* experience. Feel free to message me with any other questions. Hope this helps and good luck!

My Step-Mom had her band placed about 3 or so years ago in Tijuana and had excellent care. She did exactly what Lisa did though by finding a Dr. here in town (happens to be my Dr.) that would touch her after having another surgeon perform the surgery especially out of the country.
I suggest just having everything in order BEFORE.
Good luck!!!

Thanks so much for your reply....I am looking at getting it done at Mt. Zion with Dr. Mario Almanza. Have you heard of this Dr. or facility?
Who did your surgery and where did you have it done?
What about the anestisiologist, did you have any concerns with that?
Wow if that is your picture you look fantastic?
Thank You
