It is a way longer road then we thought..I have my Sweet spot finally..I think after a year. The key do not give up..It takes a whole bunch of time.. It is a slow process i lost 60 pounds in a year and am off all my meds. It works out but it can be frustrating as all get out..i look at it this way. I never gain i keep losing and it is not coming back yahooo. It is not ass fast as the others and that is what i wanted not as much hanging skin either. But do not wait for the next appointment i keep on my Dr. I go almost every 6 weeks, to a month. I have an 11 cc band and have 7 and a quarter cc's, I was surprised how long a time it took but as long as i lost I did not care. Just remember have patients.:)

Its an ongoing process because as you lose weight the band loosens.   I have 8.75 in a 10ml band but still need a tiny top up every 6-8wks to keep a good restriction.   So far I've had 4 fills in 8 months.

As frustrating as it is to go slowly, you really do want to go slowly. Or as my doctor says, "sneak up on it" (speaking of the Sweet Spot, although I don't think he ever calls it that).

EDIT: Was having computer trouble earlier and couldn't finish the above message. But what I wanted to add was that the reason you want to go slow is because going too fast can be PAINFUL! "Sneaking up on it" in inches (or cc.) is the way to go.
