Taking the NO fast food challenge
I don't think I did a good job explaining myself or my intention for posting.
My real issue is getting my family on the same page with me. I do eat salad (no dressing) or grilled chicken if we do eat out. I do focus on eating clean 95% of the time. My issue is my family not wanting to travel down this new path with me (100% of time).
I have managed to stay very fit and have accomplished many fitness goals since changing my life almost four years ago. I do eat very healthy 95% of the time. I just feel like I lose control of giving my family the healthy life on the run. They do not choose the healthier options all the time at the fast food places. My teenager often teases me of being too over the top with Clean Eating. I think anything becomes a battle sometimes with a teenager. He thinks his parents are the dumbest people on the planet at times. I know this is normal and will not last forever. I just need to keep on fighting the battle of better health for my entire family.
My intention of posting this was to find how other with busy families have managed to get their family on the same "healthy page".
I'm glad to hear everyone does not do fast food and how this battle is not a challenge for most.
It sure makes the transition of obesity to healthy much easier. I wish my family would get on the same page 100% of the time. I think our no fast food challenge will help big time! Best wishes to everyone!!

I was also a busy Mom with two kids always on the run taking them to this sport or practice. I sat them down one day and just told them that we would not be stopping for FF again. I had them give me their input on what substitutes we could make that would be pleasing to them for food on the run. One child loves veggies and low fat ranch dip so that was very easy. I just purchased a very small plastic container dor the dressing. I also bring alpng a small container of cut up fresh fruit. One son requested rolled up pieces of turkey with a thin strip of cheese in the middle. Also string cheese or sliced deli cheese with apple slices go great together. In case the kids were still hungry I always kept a small jar of peanut butter and wheat saltine crackers with me. For drinks i got in the habit of freezing sugar free coolaide in a small bowl where when taken out of the bowl it would fit into my one gallon insulated container. All of this took planning the night before due to me working, but we made it happen. I wouldlet the kids make additional suggestions if i felt they were getting burned out on eating a particular food. best of luck to you and to your family. This requires extra planning and preperation, but it can be done. keep us posted please..
