It's so worth it!
I just had my 3rd Re-constructive surgery yesterday! All I can say is - It's so Worth it!
My body is better than it has ever been. My tummy is now flat, my butt was auto augmented and it's round and tight and really cute! My thighs are perfect!
Yes, I have scars - and they are unslightly at this time! BUT I don't care! I've worked hard and I feel like I deserve to be cute!
The LapBand did it for me! I love my LapBand!

Revised to the Sleeve after losing 271 lbs with the LapBand.
Congrats to you.
You've done great and I think you deserve to feel good about yourself too.
This is encouraging for me. I got my band back in August 2010 and my losses have been very slow.
I'm down about 50 lbs so far but posts like this spur me on.
I will be kicking it up and pushing past my comfort zone to get to goal.
You've lost over 300 lbs if I get it in gear I should be able to lose 100.
Thank you for posting.

OH thanks! You're very sweet!
I have to tell you that I haven't always been perfect, but I've always been mindful of my consumption. It's always been my goal to get to goal and learn how to eat properly to remain there. The LapBand is forgiving and it's adjustable. If you need a fill, get one and then go back to the basic rules. I know it's hard. Believe me. But I weighed close to 500lbs when I started and every medical professional except for my LapBand surgeon said it couldn't be done with the LapBand! I refused to believe it and I planned to prove them wrong!
If I can do it, anyone can.

I did get a small fill this past week. My Dr didn't want to give me one at all because I have not done well in the past 2 months I only lost 1 pound.
I am going back to basics . I just pulled out my WLS for Dummies book to re-read. Failure is not an option with this band.
I will follow your advice. Thanks again.
Well Dear, I hate to disagree with your doctor, but if you only lost 1 lb in 2 months that means you are in need of a fill. Getting a fill and returning to the basics will get you to your goal. Stay on top of it. Failure is not an option! Don't allow it to be one! Be strong!

I thought that was strange thinking also but it's ok.
I do have pretty good restriction but I have been eating badly and doing other things to sabotage myself . I'm going for another fill in 6 weeks and I am going to work hard to push ahead in that time. I think the next time I get a fill I will probably be at that elusive "sweet spot ".
Thank you for all your kind advice.

Congrats on your surgery! I would love to have plastics done someday, but financially I know it won't happen. Thank goodness for clothes! hahaha
