Hi Bandster Buddies!

We had a great time in Hollywood!  Except it was a completely different vibe than San Diego...strangers are rather rude (especially other women).  It was weird, but we just brushed them off and had a blast anyways, as per usual!

We went to Jerry's Famous Deli yesterday on our way out and I had the BEST veggie-burger  EVER (no bun of course lol)!!  So juicy and delicious.  We saw Julia Stiles at Whole Foods Market the day before so that was fun too.  I love her movies! We tried our best not to act starstruck like dorks.

Thanks my friend!!!  Your dinner sounds really good, by the way.  I love this thread for new ideas!  Have I mentioned that lately? LOL

I bet if I melt some shredded cheddar cheese on top of that bacon-y chicken and drench it in my fave Sugar-Free BBQ Sauce, it will be SO good. Thanks!

2nd day of my pre-op liquids sooooo......

-Atkins Advantage chocolate shake
-Crystal Light
-Jello
-Popsicle
-Ramen noodle seasoning in boiling water(can't handle broth but this has tons of flavor...even though it is also loaded with sodium, I only do a very small amount in a day)

Attempted a cookies and cream shake(GNC Total Lean) as well as EAS chocolate(from powder)...couldn't stomach either of them. So I guess I'll stick with the Atkins until my Unjury comes in on Thursday.

You're doing GREAT Chelsea!  Hopefully you will like the Unjury.  I was not fond of their cold shakes, but I DIE for the protein Chicken Broth they sell.  Yummmy.  Always keep a stock at home and at work (so easy to add ho****er from the cooler at work, much easier than trying to make a cold shake on the fly).  Did you buy some of the Chicken Broth from Unjury by chance?  If not, you should ask for a sample and see if you like it.  It is so soothing and warm on the tummy after surgery and for me it was easier to get down when was a new post-op.

Thanks for posting!  I love to see all stages of bandster's diets...

I second Lisa on the Unjury Chicken flavor. I survived many a day of post op on this stuff pretending it was homemade chicken noodle soup -- the flavor is that good!

Lisa,

You look amazing dahling!!!! :)

Today I tried sushi for the first time.  I have the most favorite sushi restaurant in the world that we go to and it's been months since I've been back.  Prior to going I did some research.  sushi is NOT packed with protein!!!  Calorie wise it's not horrible, but it's not the kind of food that I find myself wanting to eat at this point in my life.  However, my boyfriend has been craving it and I suggested it BEFORE looking up the nutritional information.  So sushi it was! Well, prior to surgery I used to eat 2 1/2 rolls.  Today I managed to get down 4 pieces and that was 1 too many!!! So won't be doing sushi again anytime soon!  Just not worth the fullness without the nutritional punch!

B:  1/2 cup Eggmates, 1/4 cup low fat shredded cheddar, 1 Trader Joe vegetable sausage patty

L:  4 pieces of sushi, 2 boston roll and 2 shrimp tempura with brown rice - Totally not worth it!

D:  Probably a protein shake or something similar since I just ate sushi at 4:30 and it's 5:30 and hunger isn't even on the horizon.

water, vitamin water and crystal lite

Does anyone find that they eat less on the weekends then they do when they are at work?? I do, just wondering if anyone else does!!

Oh man my first AWFUL experience eating with my band was sushi.  NEVER.WILL.AGAIN.  Rice in general is a no-no for me.  Which is fine since it's not exactly the best band for your buck.  I agree girl!  And thanks for your kind words.  I am learning to love my short hairdo...took a while to really embrace it after having long hair for 36 years (not to mention all of my friends have these long locks)!! LOL
