Well I am day 3 post op from lap-band with a plication. Surgery went well but the recovery is going very slow. My surgery was 10am on Thursday. I woke up about 1 pm sicker (as in vomiting and body aches) than I have ever been. They monitored me until about 5pm during that time they never tried ice chips or water on me at all. They just assumed Id be able to drink as soon as I got over my nausea. That night was tough. I was up almost hourly throwing up and was extremely weak by the next morning. My mother called my doctor and he wanted me admitted to the hospital admittedly. So that is where I have been since Friday morning. IV therapy, blood thinners for the stomach, heart burn medication and some heavy duty anti nausea meds all through my IV. Orally things still tick my stomach off though HOORAY for me. I managed to keep a glass of juice down last night. Im glad I did this, I just wish I felt better.

Im sorry youre so ill and hooray on the glass of juice.
Take it a day or a moment at a time and keep that great attitude of yours when you can. Im looking forward to reading more about how you're doing.

I know that my nausea was terrible , too. I was on anti nausea meds for about a week and then it just suddenly passed. So Im hoping the same for you :)

Bless your heart!  You have had such a terrible time. Hopefully, this will be the worst part for you, and you are (since the juice) on the road to recovery.  Keep us informed!

I can't believe they didn't give you anti nasea med with surgery.  That's standard for my surgeon.
I'm sooooo sorry you had such a hard time!  I was grateful that my surgeon also requires an overnight stay.

You're in my prayers for quick healing and I hope everything is uphill form here on out!

Best~
