Nov. 09 bandsters, how are you doing 18 months out?

Hi,

Just wanted to check in with my fellow Nov. 09 Bandsters.  It's hard to believe it's been a year and a half.  It feels like a milestone to me.  I go to a veterans support group.  The people 18 months postop or longer sit at a table, everyone else sits around it.  The meeting is open for vets for the first hour, than the last 1/2 hour it's open to all.  The meeting in June will be my first meeting at the table.

I have been very sucessful although I had difficulty finding that sweet spot for long.  I was either hungry or too tight a lot of the time.  However I plugged away and lost 107 pounds in about 10 months.  I now choose to keep my band pretty loose.

I had a couple bad weeks and am still struggling to get an 8 pound weight gained off.  4.5 to go.  I am going to try really hard to not let that happen again.  It just wasn't worth it.  My excuses are a visit from my mom and Easter.

Anyway, curious to hear how others are doing.

I'm a little over 15 months out.  I'm doing ok, but struggling.  Down 80 lbs, so I can't complain too much.  I'm going in for a much needed fill and a appt with my therapist this week.  Total bandster tune up for me.

CONGRATULATIONS on all your hard work.

I always lose and gain the same 5 lbs. I'd like to lose more but I don't see that happening. I refuse to gain back any of the weight I loss. I went through too much crap to allow myself to gain it back.

I step on the scale every morning just to make sure I don't gain weight. It helps me to control my weight. I also use Dexatrim Max on those days I feel like strapping on the feed bag.

I've been getting on the scale every day too, and that damn scale just won't move.  I tweeked my diet and increased the speed on the treasmill a little.  I think I am going to weigh in every 3 days for now, until I am maintaining again.  I agree a weigh in evey day to make sure you haven't gained any is good.
