GIving my band a little R&R

I have gotten stuck before and ate yogurt too fast.  My problem is with each fill I need to chew more and more and I forget that after fills.  I try to still eat the way I did before that fill. lol.  It doesn't work.

I only PB if I eat too fast or don't chew well enough.  Since my last fill. OMG I have to chew like crazy.  This band is a pain trying to get use to.  Before this fill I wasn't full enough and eating too much too often.

You should consider an unfill of at least a little. Any time you get "stuck," your esophagus has to work extra hard, your stomach lining gets irritated, and that leads to long term damage. Esophagus dilation is caused sometimes by the esophagus having to work extra hard... it gets stretched and squished. It's tough, but constant strain weakens it.

You can get used to just about anything, especially when you're trying to lose weight, but this is not healthy.  I'm sure you'd feel much better if you had a little less saline in your band.

I think your stomach is rebelling against the last fill. Might have been a little too much.

Take care. Feel better.

When a pill gets stuck it can cause irritation and swelling to the stoma and esophagus.  Coffee will irritate things more.  Here's what I recommend that has worked, (many times) for me.  Prilosec OTC or generic Omeprozole 1x daily and liquids or very soft foods for AT LEAST 24 hours.  Try to stay with a bland diet, no caffeine, no tomato based or other acidic foods, no chocolate.

If you're not better by tomorrow call your doctor.

Hang in there!

Personally, I would go on liquids for a full day, maybe two days and if you are still having issues I would have a smidgeon take out.

I agree that if this is a constant thing that you may be too tight; however, I am not sure that I would go in for an un fill just yet.  Stay away from coffee, your tummy is already sore and adding all that acid to is will just make it worse.  Try drinking warm bevrages that will sooth your tummy.  herbal tea, even warm water will help.  MAKE SURE YOU KEEP SIPPING ON SOMETHING...because you don't want to get dehydrated, and if you can't keep fluids down then you have a problem.  Give it a day with liquids and then move on to soft, bland foods that won't irritate your tummy.  I love warm pudding and you can add a little protien power to it if you need the protein.
Good Luck and take care of yourself!
