OT : I hate natural peanut butter!!!

My daughter the vegetarian and organic food lover...I love organic too.  Talked me into buying natural peanut butter (you know the kind you have to stir because the oil is on top).  She said the regular peanut butter has sugar and hydrogenated oils and preservatives.  She told me the natural stuff has peanuts and salt...that's it.  So I bought some because I am trying to eat healthier and that includes eating foods that aren't processed with a bunch of chemicals that are bad for you.

Well I just had my before workout snack of apple slices and peanut butter...and yuck.  I don't like it.  I stirred this peanut butter up and it was all runny and gross.  It looked like runny diarrhea...yuck!!!  I thought OK but it will taste better than it looks.  Well, no it didn't.  It tasted bad to me.  I don't like this...I want my Skippy back.  Damn my daughter and her healthy advice!!!  I am stopping on my way home for some Skippy!!!!  I look forward to my yummy snack and it was ruined buy this poopy looking stuff.

Ok...I am done venting now...hahahaha

Skippy natural is slightly more processed, but it doesn't look or taste nearly as nasty.   I use it when I run out of nutella (yay nutella!).

I get my natural peanut butter at a Farmers Market.  VERY little oil on top and it's in a container that makes it far easier to stir.  I have bought the Skippy Natural, very little oil.  But there have been others that I've bought that I couldn't stir, and there was a big icky mess at the bottom. LOL

Try a Farmer's Market now that the better weather is coming!

I only use Skippy regular (I don't care for the Skippy natural) oh and they both have 3 grams of sugar and the natural has more fat........ since I only use a tablespoon or two I don't worry about the sugar and as far as snacks go it is alot healthier than some alternatives....

There are many items that I have to have a certain brand on........funny it is the brands that I grew up with LOL.......

Enjoy your Skippy, I do!!!!!

If you're near a Trader Joe's, it has natural sunflower seed butter! No stirring required and it tastes great. Almond butter is another option. Good luck!!

I like it better, LOL I usually have my DH stir it, initially and then store it upside down. I usually don't have to stir it much after the first time. I like the Skippy natural, too. When I put regular on apples it is too sweat.  I have the PB2 and hardly ever use it and others love that. Enjoy your regular peanut butter. We all can only do what we can tolerate.

I love the skippy natural and hated all the other naturals.  I was a skippy girl before and came back :)

Got a big laugh from your description!  I keep trying the healthy peanut, almond and other butters.  I'm a Peter Pan Crunchy gal and so is DH.  I have almond butter from the health food store in my fridge now.  Can't make myself try it cause I've been dissappointed several times.
