Update on my dizziness
After my post a few days ago about my reoccurring daily dizziness I wanted to post an update. In case you don't remember I started suffering from periods of vertigo that would take a 2-4 hours to go away. I started to take motion sickness pills and that helped immensely. I wanted to know what could be causing this daily dizziness.
Well quite a few of you didn't think my daily in take of carbs was sufficient...especially with my daily 90 minute workouts. I was at about 40-50 carbs a day. have increased my carbs to 70-75 a day (all good, healthy complex carbs) and I had brief dizziness yesterday and nothing yet today. I think this strategy is working. I know it's too early to know for sure. It will take some time for my body to adjust to the increase in carbs. Hopefully this continues to work for me.

Are you eating a complex card one hour to 1/2 hr prior to exercise? If not, that could be what is causing it. I just went to an educational seminar with my NUT and that is what the discussion was about. I tried it this weekend and it made a huge difference in my workout. I burned more calories and had lots more energy during the workout.
I was having dizzy moments also and having about 100-125 carbs a day really has helped. I gauge it with what my workout is ech day!

I do have a snack about 45 minutes before my workout. I usually have about 4 slices of apple with a table spoon of peanut butter.
But I don't think that would have been the problem since the dizziness always starts a couple of hours before I workout. Yep...I'm that commited that I have worked out dizzy a few times.
