Happy Sunday Funday Bandster Buddies!

Busy day as we are spreading my dear friend's ashes at sea this evening.  He was a beach lifeguard so all of the lifeguards are going to do a "paddle out" on their surfboards to spread his ashes out past the surfbreak.  I'm sure it will be a beautiful ceremony and I hope this will give me some closure.  I plan to keep some of the sand/water in a keepsake bottle of some sort.

Early: BSN Lean Desserts Protein Powder (Choc Fudge Pudding), 3/4 c unsweetened almond milk, 2T PB2, 2T Fiber Sprinkles, 1/2 small banana, Ice

B: 3/4c Hi-Lo Protein Cereal (Vanilla Almond flavor), 1/2c FF Milk

L: 3oz grilled lemon-pepper chicken, 1c romaine lettuce, 2T FF Garlic Caesar Dressing, 1T Shredded Parmesan Cheese

S: 1c 0% Plain Fage, 1T Pineapple SF Syrup, 1T Coconut SF Syrup

D: Not sure, going out with some friends after the ceremony to Justin's favorite seafood restaurant to commemorate him.  Probably grilled fish & veggies.

Dessert:  Probably nothing?  Or maybe a Skinny Girl Margarita after dinner.

What a nice ceremony in remembrance of your friend.  So sorry for your loss.  I had clear liquids today because my surgery is Tuesday!!  Yikes!!  btw, I keep wanting to ask you, what are fiber sprinkles??

Thank you for your kind words!

So, on to Fiber Sprinkles...Another great find for me in the fiber department! They are GQ FIber Sprinkles...basically have the texture of smaller Grape Nuts, but aren't as crunchy. They are finely chopped enough to put on everything for added fiber with no carbs (they have little to no flavor too and are yummy...what you can taste). I use them on yogurt for crunch, in my cereal, blended with my shakes, etc. They come in a big tub and I buy them from
www.netrition.com, the same site I buy protein powders and ALL of my specialty food items. They really help to keep me "regular" (sorry, TMI) which can be a problem for many bandsters that eat hi-protein/lo-carb (which I do). :) Hope that helps!

I have not been really hungry today so I haven't eaten much.

B: 1/2c egg salad

L: 4oz ground turkey taco meat

D: protein shake, not sure what flavor yet.

S: s/f pudding

This is a totally random eating day for me. I need to work in some vegetables. Should have had that taco meat "salad" style.

Amy,

You said you hadn't been hungry so you didn't eat much.  I wasnt hungry after lunch at 2:30 today but felt like I had to choke down some dinner at 8:30 just to get my protein in.

I am seeing that if i am not hungry I should not eat!! Isn't that what normal people do? I'm just petrified that I won't get my protein in and won't lose weight.  UGHHHHHHHHHHHH.  I am only 6 weeks out and trying to figure this all out, and of course stay completely on track.

Thanks for giving me food for thought.  No pun intended.

Sweetie, Have you looked into protein shakes?  It's a great way to ensure that you're getting in the protein you need.  Syntrax Nectar or BSN Lean Dessert are very good.
