Single incision lapband

I was wondering if anyone here has had single incision banding?  While at a seminar the coordinator mentioned it.  I saw some videos and its totally for cosmetic purposes (no scars), by going through the belly button.  I am interested and my surgeon only does it on a case by case basis and I'm hoping i'm one of those cases!  Can anyone with  education about this technique offer me some insight in regards to pain, healing, and requirements?

I don't know anything about the single incision.
I just want to tell you that my scars are so small. If you didn't know i had lb surgury you would think anything of them. The biggest one near the belly button isn't that big either.
Good luck

I am having the single incision surgery also known as the Spider on May 25th. My doctor says I am a candidate because I don't have alot of abdomen fat. She also says my single scar will be 1 or 2 inches long.

I had the single incision surgery done in December.  They went in through my navel, and the incision was about 3/4 of an inch long while it was healing.  Healing was quick and relatively painless - the most discomfort was over the port, and that area can still get irritated now.  My doc does this type of insertion almost exclusively, he did not mention any requirements to me before deciding to use this technique.
