A funny little NSV

At the JCPenney store where I work, we celebrate Valentine's Day by filling a gift bag for each associate with treats. Some associates give cards, some give candy. On February 15th, I brought home my gift bag, pulled out the cards, and stashed the candy (including some chocolate hearts) in the closet where I accumulate stuff to give to our local food bank.

Then I forgot about it, until a few days ago when I was looking for something else in that closet.

So, did you catch the NSV in that story?

I forgot I had a gift bag full of candy (including some chocolate hearts) for three whole months!

Jean

P.S. - and the bag of candy is still intact today!

I recently went to a conference where lots of vendors have dishes of candy on their tables. I used to sneak as many as possible while trying to not  look too greedy or too piggy.  This year I wasn't even interested.

Thank you! I hope reading Bandwagon helps you as much as writing it helped me.

And if you ever think of buying another copy, for a friend or your surgeon or whatever, please buy it from me, not Amazon (because I make only a few pennies on each Amazon sale).

I will let you know what I think!

Isn't that great???  I also find I can just walk by stuff that used to call my name, or have just a bite and be happy.

In the bad old days, if that chocolate had even made it home with me, if I had been able to put it in a closet, it would have been crooning to me all day, all night until I ate it all!

I did get the NSV, immediately, because I have the same affliction.  I am still working on mine.  Most of the time...not interested.  But just about the time I think I can have stuff in my house I couldn't previously, I find out I'm wrong, and have to give it away.  Working on getting where you are.  Kudos!

Jean,

Totally got it!

For me (and many, many others, I'm sure) weight loss is much more mental than physical - so forgetting about the candy is a HUGE sucess!

YAY!
