It's hard to believe three years have passed since I got my band. Back then I never dreamed of losing even 100lbs, let alone 150lbs!

I could make this post drag on but I guess I'll just say a few things. My life has changed in all the wonderful ways that I dreamed it would: I feel healthy, I have energy, I am more outgoing, I have more opportunities in all aspects of my life and I can breathe better. My life has been 100 percent upgraded.

It took COURAGE and a little HOPE to start this journey and DETERMINATION and a lot of PATIENCE to continue this journey. It's a lifelong journey but I'm willing to fight for my health!

I never forget I'm a fat girl... and I never wish to. I know where I came from and I'm tough as nails because of it. I'm dedicated to myself and my future and that's why I fight against obesity every day.

Thank you all for supporting me in this great journey. I couldn't have done it without my friends, near and far. I've had SO MANY ups and downs, but I came out on top and I couldn't be happier!

I posted a surgiversary video on my YouTube blog, for those who want to hear more: www.youtube.com/bandstergal

Here, for the millionth time, are some BEFORE photos (at 304.5lbs):

Me now (today I wore shorts to celebrate my success... I didn't wear shorts for over 10 years):

I can wear leggings!

And finally...... I realized today that I can fit in my suitcase.. LOL

Smokin' hot legs!!!

You look AWESOME!!! I will never ever be able to wear shorts like that.  Just a fact of life.  LOL

You should be so proud of your accomplishments!

I am wearing nylons in that photo... they hold the skin well enough to not scare the general public! LOL :) Hehe :)
