So they DO hold posts from new members on PCs who are using HTML #1 editor?  Or does it just say that?  (Either way, I've never had posts held for being new.)

In any group of a hundred people, there are probably 2 or 3 sociopaths.  In a group of a thousand, more like 20-30.  They function very well in "affinity groups," where people have things in common and tend to trust strangers.  I am NOT saying not to trust anyone.  I AM saying that there are probably two dozen sociopaths hanging out here and looking for victims.  Most are NOT serial killers.

Thanks for that Oso. I had a feeling the html editor thing had something to do with it but when I went there it wasn't obvious to me.

Mel you know I love you dearly but I stopped posting here because I grew sick of the bull**** There will always be people who will blame us for our slips and our bands failing us. Yes of course it was my fault that I had two band slips and my esophagus dilated to the point that I coudn't eat solid food for three months.

Ummmm, nobody knows me better than you do...was I the most obsessive bandster in the world???? Did I eat sugar or carbs? Did I overeat or eat foods that I knew would make me vomit? If something made me vomit I would go on protein shakes and soup for 5 days after. I had one of the best if not THE best band surgeon in the world, and I still had to have my band removed.

Of course there are always going to be people here who will blame us, not the band. And there will always be people here beginning their journey who just don't want to here the facts, they want smoke & roses blown up their asses. I for one will never do that.

I was lucky, when I had my slips I got a lot of support and no negativity, but way too many people aren't that lucky. So I don't waste my time anymore.

Love you my BFF but for me, it was just time to move on, I lost patience with it. The VSG board was a better fit for me. Don't ever let anyone make you feel that your opinion is wrong and that you don't have the right to post how you feel.

Michelle, I love you right back.

I only put this thread up because I was tired of seeing threads dealing with this one person in Florida.....it just seemed rather juvenile.

I could care less if ANYONE wants to bash the band.  Anyone looking in to getting a band should hear ALL sides....anyone newly banded should know what can go wrong.

This board is not what is used to be,....not that it was every perfect.   No one should ever have to hear, "YOU FAILED YOUR BAND!!  YOU SUCK!!"  I don't condone that behavior by anyone.  I wasn't lucky enough to get a revision the the VSG when I had my slip....so I stick around here for inspriation and to help others.  There really is too much crap here lately to even want to stick around though.  However, I am thankful for this board, since we met on here!
