Thanks, Psychomom!!  Yes, it's not a perfect board, but we could be better, that's for sure!

I appreciate your position, Melly...BUT, when someone comes on here who is basically "pan-handling", changes ID a few times in a day and pretends to be her own fiance, alter-ego and two other people, lies and calls Nicci a ***** ya gotta call BS.

And I do agree with you Steph but when does it come to a point and time that people need to be more mature then the person that does that kind of stuff.

Arguing back and forth, name calling and so forth makes the people posting that stuff just as awful as the person that started the mess and just as childish .

These forums or posts sometimes some of you all act like third graders in here always having to have the last word and never letting a post die.

There does come a time where maturity kicks in and you just walk away , why be as immature as them ??

I call it support when I see a person preying upon the sympathy of people on this board and I say something about it.  If I didn't give a rip about any of you, I would just keep my mouth shut about it. But I do care about others here and don't want to see anyone get ripped off by unscrupulous dillholes. So, that's where I stand.

Steph, that's fine, but one thread would have been enough, don't you think?  It just seemed a bit like junior high all over again....I was the fat girl in junior high being picked on, so maybe it just rubbed me the wrong way  LOL

Just one thread, as in the one she posted or one thread in response to her thread?  In calling this individual out on her intentions, it helps to keep the board more support focused.  This person wasn't here looking for support, but rather obviously, financial gain.  By calling her out and holding her accountable (asking direct and specific questions, in case she was for real) to her answers, she outed herself with lie after lie and inconsistent "facts".  I don't see this as "junior high", but more as calling BS on someone who was and still is trolling for something other than support for her WLS.
On lapbandtalk.com, she is listed as pre-op.   On here she is 3 yrs post-op and having problems.  She's a liar and Nicci was correct to call her out on it.  When she attacked Nicci, that is when some of the uglier stuff started and honestly, while some may not like to see someone ganged up on, this troll deserved it...when this happened, her true colors were shown and she has lost her "power" to prey upon someone who might have been sympathetic and been taken....

"just want our board back. "

Because "WE" don't want to see anything that "THEY" post on OUR board?  And membership in "we" and "they" and "our" is defined by...YOU?  Convenient.

In any group of a hundred people, there are probably 2 or 3 sociopaths.  In a group of a thousand, more like 20-30.  They function very well in "affinity groups," where people have things in common and tend to trust strangers.  I am NOT saying not to trust anyone.  I AM saying that there are probably two dozen sociopaths hanging out here and looking for victims.  Most are NOT serial killers.

Oh, but I do.  You sound just like those "We want our country back" people.  THEY don't get that this country belongs to a LOT of people, all with equal rights.

Same with this board.  Fisrt you decided to comment and share your disapproval with comments made by many of us who have had bands longer and been here longer than you have...but YOU felt that YOU had the right to declare when the board as being GOOD and when it could be better.

And then when others take issue with your comments, you try to downplay how self-absorbed they--and by extension, YOU--are.  It could be that I have found YOUR posts to be detrimental to how I think the board ought to work but I have been kind enough to keep that opinion to myself.  Maybe I want what I think this board ought to be, "back" from the likes of those who think it ought to be something else.  Well, too bad for me, too.  Because it isn't my board either.

And it's pointless to keep posting how about how it doesn't meet your needs.  There are several solutions for that problem.  *****ing about it isn't one of them.  But keep it up, you'll get a BINGO any minute now.:
