In any group of a hundred people, there are probably 2 or 3 sociopaths. In a group of a thousand, more like 20-30. They function very well in "affinity groups," where people have things in common and tend to trust strangers. I am NOT saying not to trust anyone. I AM saying that there are probably two dozen sociopaths hanging out here and looking for victims. Most are NOT serial killers.

, it has gotten that bad. Problem is SO MANY BITTER and irrate lap banders have gotten their bands removed BY FORCE and now are on a mission to make sure no one else is happy or given the support they need.It is actually bullying and many of these idiots do not realize they can actually get prosecuted for on line bullying and constant harassment. I've actually blocked many and they find a way around my blocks and still will respond to my post.
If I had to god forbid get my band removed....I will MOVE ON WITH MY LIFE instead of coming here harassing those who want to get a band or get support. I would actually BE EMBARRASSED to let others KNOW THAT I AM A SORE LOSER....they are screaming they are jealous and bitter that they no longer have a band....and it is actually pitiful to see other bullies that have not even had a band ba**** it's really getting out of hand and something from a management level needs to step in....MIDWESTERN..aka wasaBubblebutt GIRL HAS BEEN BANNED from Obesity Help and they need to BAN A WHOLE LOT MORE.
I am so sorry this is affecting you Melly, perhaps write a note to Obesity Help management, I no longer need or want support, but I do like to pop in and help others at times, I remember these boards used to be so helpful and cheerful, it really a shame what is going on now.
There is so much crazy in this one post, it's difficult to know where to start. But I'll try...
•"Missing their bands?" That's some funny **** And those people are WHERE?
•"Bands removed by FORCE?" More funny **** And those people are WHERE? (There are FAR more people who want their bands out and are trying to find ways to force their insurance companies to pay for it. And I can find you some of those.)
ALL people who have had the band--even those whose experience with it is different than Naomi has had SO FAR (because with the band, it could all go south at any minute)--are equally entitled to post about those experiences. Otherwise, the rule would be that only people who are delighted with their bands can post here and I haven't found that rule.
Those of us who got our bands early on are the same people who got them REMOVED early on. We have chosen different ways to deal with that POS....some revising to other procedures, others going without, some still suffering. You don't want us to share because our reality disprove your hope that your POS will keep working...and you KNOW there is no guarantee and that it could go bad in a heartbeat, your compliance notwithstanding.
Finally, you have been threatening to have people prosecuted for harassment and yet...nothing has happened. That's because answering your bizarre claims does not contitute harassment and you--successful software engineer that you claim to be--should know that. Stop making this stuff up and there will be no weird **** for us to answer. How tough is that?

I am right there with you Melly !!!! I do not expect it to be all sunshine and roses but it is a vicious place lately. Other band boards I visit do not seem to be that way. I for one think that we should all be here to support and give feedback to one another in good times and bad . We do not always have to agree with each other but we should always be civil and mature in our responses ! It is a personal decision and journey and one we all have in common no mater what WLS surgery we have .
