You seriously can't see that she was rooting around for money? She said she called SIXTY FIVE doctors.... none of whom would agree to help her? She was lying left and right. Little to nothing she said had any validity and she was preying upon the sympathy of others. Her account of her phone call with Dr. Baptista's office was a fabrication. But, you know what they say... you can fool some of the people some of the time.

Pumpkin, think as you please. I agreed that is seemed fishy. So I looked deeper. I will not post on my own account I have friends here and do not desire to be ridiculed until I am also forced to deactivate.
NM... I don't have a dog in this fight either way, but my whole issue with Tiffany's original post and some of the negative responses that followed is, what if Tiffany wasn't lying? What if she was telling the truth and was genuinely seeking help and support? That is the scary part to me. It would be absolutely awful if the OP was being geunine.
I don't know though . Who's to know? Tiffany could have very well been lying. I have never been scammed via the internet. So I am not particularly as sensitive to that issue as others who have been (i.e., Cheri-gate). So for my own sake, I will just ASSume that Tiffany was lying, because it would be absolutely horrible if she wasn't and was just simply seeking support.

We can't care more than she does, she is the one that needs to care enough to f/u on advice and be more proactive.

I painstakingly wrote response after response to her, trying to help her. I referred her to a doctor I respect greatly, and she took no one's advice, not even that of a respected surgeon... that's what bothers me. She decided instead to besmirch the reputation of that surgeon... and complain about money once again. She asked a question about fills and it made no sense... and I wrote a response to her, detailing every possible aspect I could think of that would help her. She didn't see fit to respond to THAT because it didn't have anything to do with money.
Even if she is having complications like she says she is, at some point she has to take responsibilty for her own health, right? What's to be gained by posting over and over about how little money she has to be able to see a doctor? Does she expect someone to put her into a car, drive her to a doctor, pay the doctor and save her life?
Thanks for trying to see all sides of this. Believe me, I don't set out to be "mean" to anyone, ever. It's only when I see someone who is seriously preying upon others for their own gain that I get very upset.

She was a member of this forum for 3 years. I can't see waiting around on a forum for 3 years to scam people. I read her original blog. My vote despite the NM Bandwagon: She was being honest even if she was misinformed about a few things and possibly worried more about the money side over the health risks.
If what she said about her ex is true then I could see why anyone would focus more on the money risks than the health risks. She needs to get to an ER and I hope she does and I hope she finds a support group who will actually support her, although I doubt she ever will considering what happened here. I would be afraid to ever ask for anything too.

Well, that's the difference between smart people and you. We aren't afraid to speak about what we believe in... we aren't AFRAID to save our own lives. And we aren't afraid of what a stranger on a message board thinks.
If you're too afraid, Tiffany, to go to an ER or a support group, you've got bigger problems than I originally thought. Yeah, if what you said about your ex is true, SO WHAT? If you're having life threatening complications, get your ass into an ER and stop complaining about money and what a ****ty deal Life has given you.
Why don't you stop posting under a troll account? It's pathetic.
