Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Somebody up there really loves me! I feel so blessed...

I have been 'stuck' in Korea trying to fill out paperwork for an immigrant visa for my husband. Usually the immigrant visa process takes a while.. especially considering that my hubby is from Iran and we are newly weds. He knew an Iranian that started the process in February of 2010, had his interview in August and got his visa in November.

We started in the middle of March... had our interview on April 21st, and turned in additional paperwork on May 4th. That day they told me it would take "a while" because "well, you understand" (aka he's from Iran) and wouldn't give me a time frame.

I worried I'd be trapped here for months. May 5th was a holiday, so no work for them. May 6th...... in the morning... the visa arrived!!!!!!!!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??

Thank you all for your prayers! We have a plane ticket to MN for June 12th! I'm excited to start my new married healthy life back in the US!

Hubby and I are gonna take a road trip to the east coast (PA, NJ, NY, DC, etc) a week after we get to the US (I know... ambitious! LOL) Wish us luck!!

That is so exciting!  I think it just depends on who handles the paperwork.

OMG!  YAY!!!  What a homecoming!  I'm in northern NJ, 20 minutes outside of NYC if you feel like meeting up, I can gather some bandster gals of mine and maybe meet up in NYC?!!!  So excited for you.

Take care!

Excellent news!  I'll feel better knowing your back in the U.S.  Go ahead and hit the east coast first, but next trip it's gotta be the west coast.  Start with Seattle and work your way south!

Keep us posted!
