I just had my lapbad done on May 5th. I still have trapped gas when with this go away. Walking helps but has not gotten rid of it all.

Can wait to breathe

I saw a MAJOR difference on the 6th or 7th day. I used Gas-X strips and a heating pad (which seemed to help alleviate the pain associated with the gas for some reason). Also, my surgeon told me to sit on the toilet and rock back and forth while pushing out the gas. Crazy idea to me, but it WORKED to get it out once the air worked its way down some. Good luck...this too shall pass (much pun intended!).

IF YOU WALK A LOT THE 1ST DAY YOUR LESS LIKELY TO HAVE GAS ISSUES! MY DOC TOLD ME THAT SO AFTER SURGERY, I WALKED AROUND MY HOTEL ROOM IN A CIRCLE FOR 4 STRAIGHT HOURS AND I HAD NO GAS PAIN, I STILL WAS BLOATED LOOKED LIKE I WAS 6 MO PREGO BUT NO PAIN. SO I SUGGEST WALK, NOT SOME BUT A TON, TON ,TON AND THE GAS X OR STRIPS THAT OTHERS USE MAY BE HELPFUL TOO.... BEST WISHES TO YOU
