Not that I am the best person to ask but before I moved I went to London when I was properly filled and actually lost weight while there.

I stuck to basic's ate protein first, shared, and if there was something I REALLY REALLY wanted to try that was bad like Fish and Chips from a street Merchant I had two or three bits and gave it to who I was with to finish.

Good Luck and enjoy your vacation!

I just came back from Chicago, and dropped a 1-2 lbs  over a week.  So this is what worked for me. First I said to my friend who I was traveling with that I would appreciate if she would say something if I was overeating or eating the wrong things. I asked for a gentle reminder to keep me on track. She asked if I would return the favor. We never needed to because we didn;t go crazy, but that helped set the tone for the trip. We also walked a lot, and used the el which meant hundreds of stairs a day. So look for ways to get as much physical activity in as possible. I also planned my meals, and I had a cheeseburger,  a bratdog, chinese food, italian food, and dessert twice, and wine. I watched my portions, omitted breads, shared the desserts, and had 1 glass of wine. I also brought southbeach bars from home, and tried to stay hydrated. I think a plan is really important.

Well, for me at least, I know myself so here is what I did when I flew to Vegas 6 weeks ago....
1. I got an unfill 2 days prior to flying out.  I know that I get tight in mid-air so I didn't want to get sick on the plane
2. I ate whatever I wanted... I went to buffets and the fancy restaurants but I listened to my band.  It told me when to stop so I did!
3. I walked, walked, walked... all the girls that i went with loved the fact that we walked up and down the strip each day we were there to burn all the calories we ate and drank!
4. I got "re-filled" 3 days after coming back home.... I'm back to having 3.5cc in my 14cc band!

I ended up losing 2 pounds!

Vacations are do-able and are easy to enjoy... just plan ahead and walk, walk, walk!

Have fun!

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence.  I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!
