9 days post op & vomiting

Ok, other than today being an emotional mess, I've been throwing up. I'm scared to death that I'm doing damage. My incisions feel like they are ripping apart and someone is stabbing me. Any ideas? Thanks

I would call the doc ASAP.

Definitely not normal...

My rule of thumb for deciding whether to call the doc is to err on the safe side and call if something hurts. I paid about a zillion dollars for this surgery, so the follow up care betteer be fantastic, too, right?

Did you call?  What did they say?

I hope you have called your doctor as others have advised. I haven't had that experience, but I'm told that it is one of those "Call the Doctor immediately" times. It may or may not have anything to do with the lap-band, but it can cause complications. AND, it may be something else going on that you need treatment for.

But do let us know what you found out. I came back on here just to see how YOU were doing!

Okey do key...I did not call the dr...however I work for one so I saw him this morning and it all looks fine. The pain is because the stitches are too new. He did say I'm overdoing it...but still expected me at work today! Lol
I'm fine now, but if I vomit again I will call the dr that did the procedure..although he is 8 hrs away from me.
Thank you all! I'm having a hard time sticking to liquids and have had soups and such...I think part of me getting sick was emotions too. Again thank you for the tips and concern. I'll let you know if I really broke myself! Lol
