Do you guys know when you overeat?  I mean, I know when to stop because I sigh.  But if I didn't sigh, how would I know if I over ate?  To be honest, I'm terrified of over eating and stretching my pouch out.  I'm about 5 weeks out and I don't have any "stuck episodes, sliming, PB or anything", so I guess I'm doing something right?!!  Any words of wisdom or advice?  Thanks ladies and gentlemen!

My doctor is a big stickler about measuring portions.  Even now, almost 2 years out, when I go for a checkup he emphasizes measuring.  So even though I don't always use a measuring cup, I now have a good idea of what 1/2 cup looks like, and don't put any more than that on my plate..So my suggestion is whenever possible, you measure your portions, so even if you don't get a little sign (sigh, hiccup, cough, whatever), you won't overeat.  Also, I don't take food from a large bowl (like snacky things), but when I do have snacks, I put them on a plate so I can see how much I'm eating.  At restaurants, I immediately ask for a take-out box and put all but about 1/2 cup of food away for other meals...Good luck

I have never slimmed, or PB'd, or gotten stuck but have overeaten. So as the previous individual said measuring out and knowing how much your eating is very important it keeps us aware of what we are actually eating and what its taking to make us fill full. This will help your doctor when adjusting you to know how much you are eating and how full or not full your getting off of it. :).

Good luck on your journey

I am about a week after you.  I still can't really eat more than 4 ounces of food at a time.  I know when to stop as I have to burp, but even before the burp I feel the slight tightness that means I am reaching my end.  I have eaten a bite past the burp on occassion only to finish as I eat so little at a time that I don't want to be too low in my protein.

I don't have a fill at this point so there are no stuck episodes, sliming or PB's for me either.  I honestly just serve myself what I am supposed to eat and stop when it is done.  Although there are even times where I don't finish what is on my plate but make sure I eat the protein.    I bought a bright red bowl and a small bright red dish on clearance at Bed, Bath and Beyond so I'd feel like my plate was full even when it wasn't!  There are times when I feel hungry and i think, wow, I am going to be able to eat a lot now.  Nope, doesn't happen!!

I'm looking forward to reading some of the long timers posts in response to this!

The best advice I can give you is to remember that your " full level " can change from day to day. So just because you can eat a 1/2 cup of beans on Monday does not mean you can eat that same 1/2 cup of beans the next day. Eat cautiously every time.

You know, I guess I should truly measure.  I honestly feel that with as many times as I have been on Weigh****chers I can "judge" my portions pretty good, HOWEVER, I truly think that I will start measuring.  Thank you for that reminder....sometimes I need that!  I don't feel tight or anything before my "sigh", and I am averaging about 2-3 lbs a week...So I truly feel confident that I'm doing well, I just didnt know if something happens if you eat past "your sign"....
Thank you very much everyone for the responses.

This is what happens to me.  I think "just one more bite", and then i'm in trouble.  *sigh*  Still learning to manage eating properly.
