Traveling Question

I had a question about traveling after having the lap-band done. Has anyone had any issues going through the body scanners at the airports? Do you let the TSA agents know about the lap-band before you go through?

 No and no. Flown a couple of times. No issues whatsoever.

I have never had a problem either, but I did get a note from my doctor saying that I had a medically implanted device just in case something ever came up.  But I have been scanned a few times in the past month and have never had a problem.

Just got back from Aruba. No problems!

Of the four times I've been scanned, twice, the agent has very lightly waved the back of her hand over the front of my stomach where the band is, so I can only assume they saw it, but it wasn't a big deal at all - they let me go on immediately. If it happens again, I'll ask why.

No and No --- I travel by plane about 10 times a month -- never told anyone, and never had any issues.
