Stuck and need help.
Am 5 months out from surgery, went in yesterday and have gained 2 pounds. This makes my total lostt 16 pounds only. Am following diet religiously, never really feel full. Exercise minimum of 4 days a week if not more. Band is filled to 9.5. Response yesterday was lets see what happens this month (1cc fill yesterday) and if no loss will go for testing. Just frustrated. Trying so hard. Any ideas? Am writing everything down again just to prove to myself that I am not overeating. Am afraid that my pouch has expanded but won't know until next month if no loss and they order tests.
I never feel full anymore either. I'm not full but I'm not hungry either I'm just satisfied for a good 3-4 hrs at a time .
I hit a snag for about 4 weeks in Feb didn't lose a single pound but I dropped a ton of inches that month . Have you taken your measurements lately ?
I ha vent lost anything either the last two weeks but I have dropped 3 inches in them two weeks. Those numbers are just as important as the scale numbers so get yourself measured if you haven't done that for awhile :o)
And I highly doubt your pouch has expanded. I talked to my doc about this after I had my surgery because a 2 months out I overdid it on pizza and I got scared.
It takes months and months of overeating at each meal to stretch your stomach out . Basically he told me I would throw up if I would to eat like I did before . My GF went 2 yrs without any fills ate what she wanted, drank pop, basically ate like she did before the band and hers was just fine . It takes awhole lot of food on a regular basis for that to happen .
My question is are you eating enough ? I have found out because of the exercise I do if I eat anything below 1200 calories per day I can not lose weight at all. If I go below 1000 I will stall and it dont matter what I do, I will not lose weight at all.
Everybody is different on calories also so maybe you need to up your calories for your needs .
Also your body gets use to exercise maybe you need to switch it up some. I do alot of Zumba but I was starting to get use to so now I take a Zumba class with weights. We dance with 2 pound weights and boy can I tell a difference when I walk out of that class . I have muscles hurt where they didn't hurt before so I know its working .
Dont get frustrated like my surgeon tells me we didn't put this weight on over night and it's not going to come off over night especially with the band .
It takes alot more work with the band to lose weight and its alot harder IMO.
Dont give up keep doing what you are doing but maybe a few tweaks here and there , changing your food up , maybe upping your calories , changing your exercise .
And I never eat the same amount of calories per day . The days I do my advanced Zumba I hit around 1200-1500 per day and the days I dont exercise like the weekends I do stay around 1000 to 1100 because I am not doing anything so I do lower my calories.

I went back and did my measurements and yes, I lost almost 6 inches during that time. I have also begun tracking what I eat again (doesn't vary much) but looking at that and my exercise patterns. Since last week have lost 6 lbs again. Also trying not to get on the scale all the time and obsessing on the numbers.
Hopefully this hurdle has been won and the weight will come off again, just thought I would be further along by now.
Thanks for your help.
