Okay, so yesterday, my hubby and I decided to do something, NO not that, everyone get your minds out of the gutters!!  LMAO!!  We decided to clean out our closets!  I had 2-39 gallon trash bags FULL of clothes that either didn't fit or I don't wear.  It was wonderful.  I didn't get exercise yesterday, but we were cleaning for I bet you 5-6 hours.  My butt cheeks hurt because I was standing, bending, doing squats, etc....But in all of this, it was so nice to maybe try a 20 on, even though I could get it buttoned, but it was a little tight, I kept it, because I KNOW, in another month or so, it would be perfect.  I have NEVER had that feeling before.  In the back of mind, every time something didn't fit, I always thought, "im not keeping this, because my fat ass will never get in it".  But yesterday was different, I thought to myself, "it doesn't fit just yet, but it WILL..."  that was so empowering.  My hubby also said to me yesterday 2 times, "you should just keep it cuz you will be a toothpick soon."  It just made me feel like, fighting to get this surgery and not backing down from anyone, was exactly what I was supposed to do.

I didn't do this surgery to get skinny or to fit in a size 2.  I did it for me.  I want to feel better about myself, and to be able to keep up with my kids.  The day my son, was at the park w/ my oldest daughter and he cracked his head open and I couldn't run to my son, was the day I vowed that will NEVER happen again.  I will get healthier no matter what anyone says.  I already feel great.  I'm only down 30 lbs since surgery 3/23, and I already feel like a million bucks....

I just had to express how wonderful this is....To know I am on the right road.  I have to thank you all for being such a great support system and a big shout out to my hubby who was so againest this surgery at first, I honestly thought we would have gotten a divorce....But he stood by me and is supporting me every step of the way...Thanks again everyone!!!

HUGS!!!

The first cleaning is so cathartic!  I donated much of my wardrobe to a women's shelter nearby and then have been sending some to a friend who is losing and weighs about 40 lbs more than I do...I have another big box full for her when I see her in June...it is wonderful to be able to do that!  My daughter weighs about 50 lbs less than me(she has lost about 65 lbs) and she has been giving me her too big clothes...it is the best kind of recycling!

Oh, that is the best feeling congrats!!!!!...........you never forget your first. I am on my last batch and although I can fit into them I wouldn't wear most of them out still too snug.......kind of funny too... for me I found high waisted pants who wears them now???? Polyester fully lined dress pants?? Crazy....although I did wear the light gray polyester pants (still had the tag on them) to church on Easter.......didn't care, strutted in as if I was a little girl with my new Easter dress on...of course the waist band kept hitting my port so there won't be a repeat and I must say I am glad high waisted pants are out.......

So glad your hubby is supportive now, it does help..........most likely he was against it because there was always the chance that something might happen and he didn't want to lose you......

Enjoy and oh by they way what do you mean "only 30 lbs" that is awesome 30 pounds gone forever!!!!!

Congrats!  Like Michelle, I was going to say "ONLY?" 30 pounds. Pick something up that ONLY weighs 30 pounds and carry it around for a bit.  It's heavy.

I also cleaned out closets today and also found some high waisted jeans in size 12, so they are going to Goodwill, even though I just got into 12's.  It's been a long time since I wore this size, like the early 90's? hahaha    I started out in 28's, so Goodwill has gotten a lot of bags of clothes from me.

It's so helpful to have a supportive family!  And we are here also for ya!
