I've been on this forum since 2006 and have tried many different avenues at trying to get have the lapband surgery. I was going to self-pay, but the money had to be used to do house repairs a few years ago. I got a job that has insurance to pay it, but you have to jump through hoops to get there. I jumped through those hoops only to find out that the 7-month dr. supervised diet wasn't sufficient since my doctor was out of town for one of those months and I wasn't able to go to an office visit for that, so I had to start the whole process all over with another 7-month dr. supervised diet. I finally finished it last month and just got my letter in the mail yesterday stating I have been approved!!! HAPPY DANCE
