Morning swelling??
Okay so I hear it's common that people are tighter when they first wake up. So since my second fill I've been experiencing this. What is suitable for breakfast and WHEN can I eat? Like how many hours has to pass for that swelling to go down?
Oh and since my doctors want me to have 3 meals a day how will I do that is I can't eat breakfast?

Usually I don't even try to eat or take my pills until I drink a large hot beverage. I have woken up and taken my pill and had it get stuck going down and it is quite painful until it passes. A protein bar usually is my go to breakfast. I would not say you have to wait hours just drink a lot of water or hot beverage before trying to eat a meal. You could also try having a protein drink for breakfast.

One thing I used to make quite often (because I couldn't actually eat solid foods while I had my band) was the Carnation Instant Breakfast. I'd add some protein powder to it and try to drink that. At least it has some nutrients in it. Or I'd heat up chocolate flavored soy milk (which sounds gross to me NOW, but I remember liking it back then!)
You may not be able to eat 3 actual meals a day with the band. You have to find what works for you and try to get your nutritional values met in creative ways. You certainly don't want to stress your esophagus with retching or getting stuck, if you can help it.
If it continues that you're really having trouble in the mornings, you might want to consider a slight unfill, too. Better safe than sorry when it comes to your health.

Its not exactly swelling... Its that the band is cold and retracted. Usually I have a protein shake in the morning and some hot tea... Warms everything up. Only really "solid" food I can do early is oatmeal, farina, greek yogurt or sometimes egg whites.
Usually an hour or so after that im good to go.
Im supposed to do the 3 meals/2 snacks a day too. But because of the morning I consider my startoff foods as a snack... My days start at 4:30am... ll have one of the above mentioned at 5am... breakfast at 7:30ish... lunch at 11:30... snack around 3:30ish... dinner at 6:30ish.
Ill sneak in a protein bar or another greek yougurt sometimes if im really hungry.
