Because I have PCOS, my GYN doc said to stay away from carbs..That was before surgery.  Since surgery, I have stayed away from carbs for the most part.  I am still not allowed veggies, fruits or starches.  Now I did have a couple of bites of chocolate durning Easter, but for the most part, I get maybe 20 or under.  I follow my docs diet and it mainly low fat cheese and lean meats, I can have eggs as well, cottage cheese, SF yogurt, SF pudding and jello.....

Before surgery I did try Atkins and South Beach, but the moment I tried those before surgery, that is all I craved, Everything I couldn't have!  But now, I don't know why, I haven't craved pasta, at all..I do want a big ASSSSSS bagel though!!!

Good luck on your low carb, I have seen a lot on here that it helps a lot of people!

good luck again!!

I have found that I can lose if I keep them under 50 grams..........of course that would be in a perfect world lately :-(

For me I have to keep it under 20 and some days I can even hit 0, it's hard but it can be done.

Hislady,

How do you get enough fiber if you stay so low on your carbs?    I worry about fiber (you can probably guess why --- LOL)

I need a good carb de-tox, so when I get home from my road trip this week, I may try to go to 20 - 40 carbs a day --- but zero sounds impossible to me.

I would love to hear how you do it.

Thank you!!
Kath
