I found a gym shoe!!!!!! FINALLY

After a looong time of searching for a shoe that had a round toe and was light ...I FOUND IT......

New Balance 573.   They are gray and purple.....love them and I did NOT have to buy them in wide (but they do sell them)...so that has an NSV for me!!!!

Lovin my new shoes........and as ALWAYS lovin' my band!

Oh.....you are going to love them. I love New Balance, they are the only sneakers for me, I even bought a pair of NB hikers for everyday this winter and love those also........

I have a flat foot and need toe room and these have great toe room............you will love them, a good shoe will make you want to work out even more......mine are calling me now LOL...

Hurray!!  I do love NB's.   I like that their inserts are removable and I can add a better support easily.

Where did you find them? My running shoes are NB 904 or 940, can't remember. I went to the New Balance store because I wanted to make sure I was in the right running show for my foot type and they made a neat machine there that analyzed my foot and they explained that since I have small feet and high arches and instep I still needed a wide shoe to stabalize my foot. But I've always loved New Balance. I do stilll run in my Nike's when I run outside, but they aren't the same! My New Balance are liking running on a cloud!

I am glad you found some good shoes! I have the weirdest feetz. I have really high arches so all gym shoes feel just awful to me. I had New Balance and they actually made my foot bleed while I was on the treadmill! Geesh, I made a spectacle of myself that day.

I finally swallowed my pride and bought shoes in the men's section! I got the ugliest pair of Asics men's running shoes. Remember the Seinfeld episode where Jimmy has the Jump Higher shoes? They look like THAT. I really feel 'fancy' while wearing them! But they work. And that's all I care about! No more bleeding on the treadmill!

I hope you loooooove your shoes. Nothing like a good pair of gym shoes!!!!

You've probably already tried this, but sofsoles makes a great insert for people with high arches.

I use their "athlete" insert for extra cushioning..  absolutely love them.  They cured the aching I had from just walking!  I wish the athlete had more arch support, but I guess it has it where I really need it.. under the toes and heel.

Thank you, Liz! I've never heard of them, actually! Are they sold in stores like Target? Or is it a special order kinda thing?

I get so frustrated with my work out shoes. I don't think I've ever had a pair that I didn't constant think, "Ow, these aren't comfy" the whole time I was wearing them! 

I get them from famous footwear stores.   Zappos used to carry them, I don't see them there now.  :(
