Lap Band Revision

 Yes, I DID have a HH repair and new band installed back in 2008. Like you, I had the old 4cc band and since I had to have the HH repaired, my surgeon offered to replace it with the newer, larger one while he was in there. Other than eating like a hog when my band was emptied (or, as I refer to it, "my stomach being on Spring Break") the revision was no big deal. Home the day after surgery, no real major pain, back to work a few days later (I had the surgery on a Thursday and was back to work on Monday.)

Thank you for your info.I too am eating everything in sight for about 3 weeks now.You can really appreciate the band when you don't have it filled anymore.I had my original surgery in 2005 and she decided like you that since we are going in for the hernia, get the new model too.Thank you for your feedback.
